Pilot Pro
Custom Fields
You can add custom logbook fields and aircraft fields to track anything you like in your logbook. These fields can be set up in the Settings portion of the app. Here's how you get started:
- Step 1 — Go to Settings in the app, and find Logbook Fields or Aircraft Fields (depending on which you'd like to set up).
- Step 2 — You can tap the icon in the upper-right (on iOS) or the "Add Defaults" button in the Mac app to add a series of default custom fields. The default logbook fields are: PIC, SIC, Solo, Night, Instrument, Simulated Instrument, Dual Given, Dual Received, and Cross Country. The default aircraft fields are: High Performance, Complex, Turbine, Turboprop, Tailwheel.
- Step 3 — You can add any of your own fields as well and choose between field types of flight time (used for most things pilots track), on/off fields (usually attributes like "Complex"), and text fields (for things like "aircraft color" or "copilot name").
We've tried to make Pilot Pro as flexible as possible, so give that a try and let us know if you have any questions.
